Biography
Kya brings a dynamic blend of academic achievement, leadership, and legal expertise to her role at Brock & Scott. She graduated from Georgia State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Italian. Her pursuit of excellence continued at Clark Atlanta University, where she earned her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in 2018. During her academic journey, Kya distinguished herself as a leader serving as President of the Economics Club at GSU and contributing as a committee member for LEAD Week a CAU. Motivated by her passion for advocacy and helping others, Kya went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2022. Since becoming a barred attorney, she has gained valuable experience in civil litigation, criminal defense, juvenile law, and family law. Notably, she achieved her first bench trial victory within just two months of her licensure. Now focusing on creditors’ rights and collections, Kya is excited to bring her litigation skills and client-centered approach to Brock & Scott.
