Biography

J. Charles Ruiz-Bueno is a trial lawyer, having served tenures in the Litigation and Defense Department of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A., Cleveland Office and for Nurenberg Plrus Heller & McCarthy Co., L.P.A. (formerly Nurenberg Plevin Heller & McCarthy Co., L.P.A.). Since his admission to the Ohio Bar in 1990, Mr. Ruiz-Bueno has conducted many civil jury trials representing plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, consumers, and creditors in FDCPA and OCSPA litigation, as well as representing banks and companies in commercial litigation. He is also admitted in the State of Colorado, The United States Supreme Court and several U.S District Courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals. Mr. Ruiz-Bueno is a member of the Lake County Bar Associations. He received his B.A. degree in English from Case Western Reserve University, M. Div. From Asbury Theological Seminary, and J.D. and LL.M. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Cleveland State Law Review.
Mr. Ruiz-Bueno is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He has served as an adjunct/lecturer for Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Interim Trial Advocacy course for over 10 years, as a judge for the 2002 Cleveland Mock Trial Invitational Tournament, hosted by the Case Western Reserve Univ. Mock Trial Organization and conducted other CLE seminars on the topics of Civil Procedure, Collection Law, Ethics, and Voir Dire.
