Brock & Scott’s Synergy Summit is a bi-annual event offered to the firm’s existing clients and industry partners as an opportunity to spend a day discussing high level topics and pressure points with the mutual objective of sharing insights which result in collaborative solutions.
The Power of the Synergy Summit
That power comes from one or more discussion facilitators striving to prompt and solicit commentary from summit attendees. Practical experience and insights are shared by attendees of varied backgrounds who all have a common goal of contributing to the discussion in a meaningful way. The quality of discussion is directly related to the collective willingness of attendees to share with one another.

Our Experiences with the Summit
This format has been gratifying and valuable for our firm, mortgage servicers, investors, and other industry partners. Lectures and lengthy visual presentations are left for other events. We drop some formality and “get real” about our common challenges and prospective solutions without a stuffy or pressure-packed environment. We feel this is when SYNERGY really happens!
Synergy Summits cover specific topics under the general categories of Legal, Operations, Compliance, and Teamwork. Past summits included sessions such as:
Hot Topics – A unique look at the issues most pressing in the mortgage default industry.
Exploring the Continuing Evolution of Mortgages in Bankruptcy – Have Periodic Statements, the “National Form Plan” and other recent rule changes made servicing of loans in bankruptcy more uniform or more challenging?
Post Foreclosure Survival Guide – This discussion centers on avoiding undue and costly delays and staying on timeline post foreclosure by covering a litany of issues that can contribute to said delays.
Compliance in Action – How to use industry laws, regulations, and state specific precedents to maintain an effective and efficient default practice.
Pre-Foreclosure Loss Mitigation: Leaving No Stone Unturned – A discussion about balancing HUD regulations with pre-foreclosure loss mitigation efforts including a juxtaposition of the lender and servicer responsibilities.
Managing Operational Efficiency – Here, we will explore the implementation of a legal / operational controls geared to provide those process assurances to get it right.
Communication – We will explore effective means of day to day communications, escalation points all while balancing potential legal ramifications.
