February 20, 2014
(Atlanta, GA) Brock & Scott announced Wednesday an expansion of its default law practice within the state of Georgia. The acquisition of the highly respected, 25 year old firm, Shuping, Morse & Ross, LLP, will combine under the Brock & Scott, PLLC name adding seasoned attorneys and dedicated staff members from Shuping, Morse & Ross to Brock & Scott’s metro Atlanta office.
The acquisition was effective on Feb. 19, when the Shuping, Morse & Ross team joined Brock & Scott's existing Default Services Practice Areas, led by Managing Partner Kyle Kotake in the Atlanta office.
Founding Partner Tom Brock said the acquired firm "has an impressive list of reputable and established clients that we currently have active relationships with across our other states. Shuping, Morse & Ross is now part of Brock & Scott and we look forward to continuing the same expert level of service and quality performance delivered by both firms now combined under our firm.” The acquisition bolsters Brock & Scott’s tremendous growth in Georgia since opening operations in the state in 2012 and establishing an office presence in Atlanta and Savannah.
Managing Partner Andy Shuping, Jr. commented "we are pleased that Brock & Scott will be retaining our attorneys and staff as part of the acquisition of our firm. This event presents a unique and positive opportunity for our firm to be part of the multi-state and multi-practice model where we feel the industry is headed in default servicing. Our core values and approach to client service align very well with Brock & Scott which will make this transition very seamless."
