Biography

Julie York is a Partner at Brock and Scott PLLC. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She received her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law where she graduated Cum Laude. During law school, she was the recipient of the Barry Merit Scholarship. She was also the school’s Moot Court Champion for the First Year Moot Court Competition and she received the Book Award for highest grade in trial advocacy. In 2006, she participated in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition as well as the Florida Worker’s Compensation Appellate Competition. During this time she was also a Legal Research Assistant for Professor Helia Hull, former Interim Dean for Barry University School of Law. As a law student, she became a Certified Legal Intern for the State Attorney’s Office in the 13th Judicial Circuit and assisted the State Attorney’s office with misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases.
