Biography
Abby comes to Brock and Scott as a former Prosecuting Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida involving Pasco and Pinellas counties. As a Prosecuting Attorney, Abby managed a heavy caseload involving multiple divisions of felony drug court cases, DUI traffic cases, domestic abuse cases, and sensitive cases involving human trafficking victims. As a former prosecutor, Abby’s caseload consisted of troubled veterans charged with drugs and narcotics possession, and domestic violence related crimes, as well as criminal defendants charged with felony drug possession cases. Abby was the prosecuting attorney of the substance-abuse treatment court for the rehabilitation of veterans and criminal defendants in offering a deferred prosecution approach as opposed to punishment. While a prosecutor, Abby tried many jury and bench trials successfully to verdict.
As a Civil Practice Litigation Attorney, Abby also has experience defending cases involving First Party Property Practice where she defended major insurance carriers in suits brought against them.
While in law school, Abby was a Notes Editor for the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. She was a volunteer participant for Cooley Law School’s Domestic Violence Assistance Project, and the recipient of the Pro Bono Pledge award. In her last year of law school, Abby worked directly with human trafficking victims in expunging their criminal records that resulted from their victimization and the human trafficking scheme. Abby graduated cum laude from law school and was sworn into the Florida Bar as a member in 2019.
Abby attended the University of South Florida and graduated with honors with distinctions with a degree in Criminology. She was also a member of the International Honor Society Golden Key Association while at the University of South Florida.
In her spare time, Abby loves to play chess and spend time with her two dogs who are very much loved by her. Abby also loves international traveling.
